Work Bee - Cancelled (7/10/24)
Evening meeting will go on as planned from 6:00p-8:00p
Library Community Room

Due to inclement weather, the work bee is cancelled for 7/10/24.

However, we will still use our evening meeting to write some interpretive signs from 6:00 - 8:00.

As a reminder, please be thinking and researching ahead of time for interesting tidbits and facts about our plants. We will share them with each other and produce some signs to engage passersby, especially the kids.

Can't recall what plants we have? Here is a partial list:

Amsonia
Dill
Columbine
Carolina phlox
Arborvitae
Big betony (Stachys monieri)
Pussytoes
Clematis
Viburnum carlesii
Snapdragon
Prairie dropseed
Liatris spicata
Mountain bluet (Centaurea montana)
Lavender
Kiwi vine
Sedum acre
Curly chives (Allium senescens)
Goatsbeard
Rodgersia
Painted fern
Crabapple
Brunnera
Bigroot geranium (G. macrorrhizum)
Hakonechloa

And just as many more not named! Even "dull" facts like pronunciation are interesting to people admiring the garden. You might also report on medicinal or artisanal uses, folklore, or places in the world where the species are native.
