Event Details

Both beginners and experienced gardeners welcome.

During the growing season, March through November, work bees to keep up with gardening tasks required in the beds in front of the library, usually followed by educational seminars.

Work bee from 4:00p-6:00p
(Please note earlier start time due to decreasing daylight hours)

It's time to clip back faded plants, to let the Autumn stars shine... and make room for spring bulbs. So bring your clippers and your bulb planting trowel or spade. We'll also consider pruning our trees and shrubs, transplanting or planting new into the viburnum bed, and controlling the weevil damage in our front-door bed. If this is your first time joining us, be assured that we welcome helpers and also watchers and learners. It's fun to have enthusiastic company!

Seminar/Meeting from 7:00p-8:00p

October's Topic: Growing and Using Bulbs for Spring Color

Following the work bee, you can join us for "Growing and Using Bulbs for Spring Color," presented by professional gardener Gail Morrell and author Janet Macunovich (Designing Your Gardens and Landscape).

A light dinner will be served between the work bee and seminar.
