True Grit by Charles Portis
In what some critics consider to be one of the great American novels, a woman recounts her time when she was a 14-year-old girl seeking revenge on her father’s murderer. She teams up with Marshal Rooster Cogburn and  Texas Ranger LaBoeuf to track down the killer.

The Evening Book Discussion meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month (excluding August) at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room unless otherwise noted. No registration required.

Standard print copies, as well as books on CD and large print (when possible) will be available on the Saturday after each month’s meeting unless otherwise noted. E-books and e-audio may be available from Download Destination (Libby) and/or hoopla.
